As best as I can remember it was a one time thing.


You got a lottery number and were either drafted or not. The next year it was a new bunch who were born a year later. Those whos deferments had run out would have likely joined that next group. I only went through the process once and that was it for me. They might have tweeked the process over the years. I just dont remember.
